Melania Trump's stunning Christian Dior wedding dress 'for sale on eBay'

Melania Trump’s stunning designer wedding dress appears to be for sale on eBay for a shocking price.

The Christian Dior gown by John Galliano that the First Lady wore at her wedding to President Donald Trump in 2005 is now said to be available for sale.

On Tuesday, Liana Satenstein – a writer on Substack – told her Neverworns subscribers that the couture dress was now on the market.

She explained that her friend, Patricia Torvalds, had stumbled across the gown while looking for ’80s Dior dresses.’

The eBay listing that she then cited has been live since January 21, 2025.

According to the online seller, they bought the dress directly from Melania in 2010 for $70,000, as they had a mutual friend. The original price Melania reportedly paid for the gown was $187,000.

Despite the gown’s original high cost, it is now listed for sale at a significantly reduced price of $45,000, as reported by Women’s Wear Daily.

The iconic dress is made from 300 duchesse satin with a figure-hugging silhouette and mermaid skirt.

Per the posting, the 13-foot train was hand-embroidered with Swarovski crystals for a reported 550 hours.

The eBay seller admitted to making a few small changes to the dress including, ‘new layer of satin to the bottom of the dress and a few more embroidery pieces on the top.’

‘Plus there was a new layer of fabric that was added to the back of the dress and straps as my chest is much bigger than Melania’s,’ they continued.

She said the dress is now a size 4 to 6, but if the bride were to remove the back panel, it would go back to being Melania’s size which was a 0-2.

The unnamed seller also included that the dress was only worn twice.

Despite the seller’s claim, a source told Women’s Wear Daily that Melania’s real couture gown was in Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.

Melania modeled the dress and the matching 16-foot-long veil on the cover of Vogue in February 2005 after her Palm Beach wedding.
