Directed by Mor Loushy and Daniel Sivan, the documentary series American Manhunt: Osama bin Laden consists of three parts that explore the extensive search for bin Laden over a span of ten years after the tragic events of September 11. The series also showcases key individuals such as CIA insiders and top advisors to President Obama, who played crucial roles in the worldwide manhunt for one of the most infamous terrorists in history.
On May 2, 2011, President Obama and his team witnessed Seal Team 6 carry out a raid on bin Laden’s hideout in Abottabad, Pakistan, resulting in his death. Remarkably, no American lives were lost during this operation. Rob O’Neill from Seal Team 6 expressed in the documentary, “We knew we might not make it, but it’s a relief to survive,” as reported by Time.
American Manhunt: Osama bin Laden would be the third installment of Netflix’s American Manhunt series, which dives into the most notorious crimes and ensuing manhunts in American history.
American Manhunt: Osama bin Laden was scheduled to premiere March 10 on Netflix.
But the documentary series has been indefinitely delayed; Netflix’s Tudum notes the series “is coming soon to Netflix,” with no confirmed date attached.

A Netflix rep confirmed to Decider that the documentary is being rescheduled, but a confirmed premiere date has not been announced yet.
