‘XO, Kitty’ Renewed For Season 3 At Netflix

Netflix has officially renewed XO, Kitty for a third season.

The news was shared on Netflix’s official X account on Friday, following the Season 2 premiere on January 16.

“I’m so excited to head back to Seoul for another season with our incredible cast and crew. If you thought junior year at KISS brought the drama…just wait,” said series showrunner, executive producer, and writer Jessica O’Toole. “I know we left fans on a cliffhanger at the end of Season 2 but I can promise season 3 will be worth the wait, including our first summer episode — not to mention plenty of romance, friendship, adventure…and kissing. Lots of kissing.”

The series stars Anna Cathcart as Kitty Song Covey, alongside Minyeong Choi, Gia Kim, Sang Heon Lee, Anthony Keyvan, Regan Aliyah, Audrey Huynh, and Peter Thurnwald. Additional cast members include Sasha Bhasin, Joshua Lee, Jocelyn Shelfo, Michael K. Lee, and Philippe Lee.

A spinoff of Netflix’s To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before film series, XO, Kitty continues to explore Kitty’s journey. Further plot details and a release date for Season 3 have yet to be announced.

The official synopsis for Season 2 teases the challenges ahead for Kitty: “Teen matchmaker Kitty Song Covey is back in Seoul for a new semester at KISS. She’s single for the first time in a long time, and ready for a fresh start: no more meddling, no more drama. Maybe just some casual dating. Emphasis on casual. But she has more to worry about than her love life, as a letter from her mother’s past sets her on a wild journey, and new faces at KISS bring change. As secrets unravel and bonds are tested, Kitty will learn that life, family and love are more complicated than she ever imagined.”

The series was created by Jenny Han, whose To All the Boys novels inspired the original films. She also serves as an executive producer alongside O’Toole and Matt Kaplan of ACE Entertainment. The show is produced by Awesomeness Studios.
