Rajavi described it as a critical moment in Iran’s history. According to Rajavi, the National Council of Resistance of Iran has laid out a plan for a democratic Iran, involving a gradual process following the removal of the current government. A temporary governing body would be established for a period not exceeding six months, with its primary objective being organizing fair elections for a Constituent Assembly and transferring authority to elected representatives of the people.

“The overthrow of the mullahs’ regime is the only way to establish freedom in Iran and peace and tranquility in the region,” a hopeful Rajavi said.
Kellogg supported these notions and suggested that the immediate aim should be to achieve a “friendlier, more stable, non-aggressive, and non-nuclear Iran.” Additionally, he emphasized the need for the United States to capitalize on Iran’s existing vulnerabilities.
Spokesperson Esmail Baqaei from the Iranian Foreign Ministry criticized France for accommodating what the Iranian administration labeled as a “terrorist organization.” Baqaei accused the French government of breaching its international responsibilities to prevent and combat terrorism.
