Investigation Launched by Trump-Appointed US Attorney on LA Homeless Fund
The U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California, Bill Essayli, sat down with Matt Finn from Fox News to discuss the investigation into the LA homeless fund. Kennedy, a contributor at Fox News, also shared thoughts on the inquiry along with rumors surrounding Obama’s divorce.
LOS ANGELES – The recently appointed U.S. attorney, aligned with the MAGA movement, for the Central District of California, which encompasses Los Angeles County, has started a new federal criminal task force to thoroughly examine the utilization of billions in homeless funding over the last five years.
“We are committed to uncovering the truth. If we discover any breaches of federal laws, we will apprehend and bring to justice those involved,” said U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli in his inaugural TV interview conducted in his office located in Downtown Los Angeles.
Essayli announced the launch of the Homelessness Fraud and Corruption Task Force, which will include federal prosecutors from the FBI, IRS and HUD. One of the items on the agenda is investigating the results of a recent audit that revealed $2.3 billion of homeless funding is unaccounted for in Los Angeles County alone.
This is exactly what President Trump wants done,” Essayli said about the task force. “He wants accountability for public officials, he wants accountability for taxpayers.”
