A suspect is on the run following a shooting at a hospital in Troy, Michigan, police confirm.
“This appears to be an isolated incident,” Troy Police Department said on X about the shooting at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital.
FOX 2 Detroit provides a live view of the massive police presence outside the hospital. According to the local TV news station, one person has been shot.
“We are working with local law enforcement,” Corewell Health said in a statement.

The hospital has been placed on lockdown as a precautionary measure. At this time, one victim is receiving medical treatment in the emergency department. Patients with scheduled services are advised not to come to the hospital. They can directly contact the department where their service was scheduled. No further information is currently available.
The hospital is about a 30-minute drive from downtown Detroit. A media conference with more details is expected soon.
