Brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate, well-known social media influencers, are facing serious legal trouble in the United Kingdom. They are accused of a total of 21 crimes, which include disturbing charges like rape and human trafficking. These allegations were made public by prosecutors on a Wednesday.
The charges against the Tate brothers were given the green light back in January 2024. This was when authorities issued warrants for their arrest. Even though Andrew and Tristan hold citizenship in both the United States and the United Kingdom, they had relocated to Romania in 2016.
Although the arrest warrants had been active for some time, it wasn’t until the recent announcement by the Crown Prosecution Service that the brothers were officially charged with criminal offenses in the U.K. This legal development marks the first time they have faced such serious accusations in Britain.
The brothers face a total of 21 charges, with Andrew facing 10 charges related to three women. The charges against Andrew include rape, actual bodily harm, human trafficking and controlling prostitution for gain.

The whereabouts of the brothers were not immediately clear.
They were photographed a week ago outside a police station in Voluntari, Romania, where they have to report regularly while facing charges there.
