Michelle Obama finally revealed why she failed to attend President Trump’s second inauguration in a recent episode of her failed IMO podcast.
Obama, discussing the matter with actress Taraji P. Henson, said the controversial decision was simply “the choice that was right for me.”
She expressed regret over her decision to miss the inauguration, as it led to widespread scrutiny and judgment from the media, who even questioned the state of her marriage with Barack Obama.
Although she recognized that attending the event may have been the expected course of action, Obama emphasized the importance of prioritizing her own well-being and practicing self-care by choosing what felt right for her.
She explained that despite societal expectations, she made a conscious effort to take control of her life and make decisions that aligned with her personal values and needs, even if it meant deviating from external perceptions of what was deemed appropriate or expected.
How hard was it? She had to trick herself into not going by advising her staff to ensure she had nothing to wear.
Listen to this narcissistic creature talking about her decision not to go to Jimmy Carters’ funeral and the inauguration like was some type of earth-shattering event and not just a page 29 mention in the entertainment section of your local paper. 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/EJ3dd9N7df
