The left has been envious ever since the rise of the Tea Party movement among conservatives during the Obama era. They have been unsuccessful in trying to start a similar grassroots movement of their own. However, they believe they have found an opportunity with the recent backlash against Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). The media has once again portrayed protesters in front of Tesla dealerships as concerned Americans standing up for their rights, but this may not be the whole truth.
Except the Tea Party was a movement devoted to cutting spending and shrinking the government.
