North Carolina authorities have arrested a Greenville-based real estate agent while investigating a triple homicide and four different crime scenes.
David Hansen Lever, 55, has been accused of committing three murders, as reported by the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office. Lever was apprehended by the authorities after the son of two of the victims managed to detain him at gunpoint.
The investigation began on Jan. 10 when detectives located the three homicide victims with gunshot wounds.Â
The sheriff’s office released a statement on Saturday stating, “Based on interviews and evidence gathered at each crime scene, the initial investigation indicates that the incidents are connected. However, this case is actively being investigated.”
According to information found on the company’s website, Lever was identified as a partner at Lever & Russel Real Estate LLC in Greenville, where he served as a broker and agent. Records from the county’s estate department revealed that the company had ownership of multiple properties.
