“Super Bowl Clash: Swift and Kelce Families Divided – Who’s Your Pick for Tonight?”

Travis Kelce will attempt to make history with the Kansas City Chiefs by appearing in a third consecutive Super Bowl tonight. Despite this milestone, not all members of his family are rooting for the team.

With another chance at the NFL championship, the Chiefs could secure a unique achievement by being the first team to win three consecutive Super Bowls. The Philadelphia Eagles are the final obstacle in their path to this unprecedented success.

While winning the Super Bowl would mark a high point in Kelce’s illustrious career, some relatives of his are actually cheering for an Eagles victory in New Orleans – a sentiment shared by a select few in girlfriend Taylor Swift’s family.

Taylor will of course be at the Superdome to cheer on her man, who many fear could hang up his cleats whatever the result for Kansas City this evening.

But who is everyone else in the Kelce and Swift families supporting tonight?

DailyMail.com has taken a closer look at the divide in the two camps ahead of Super Bowl LIX.

While she will undoubtedly be rooting for Kelce and the Chiefs, Swift backing against the Eagles makes for an awkward dynamic given she is a Philadelphia native at heart.

Before meeting Travis the singer’s love for the Eagles was no secret. One of the lyrics in her 2020 song ‘Gold rush’ even says: ‘I see me padding ’cross your wooden floors with my Eagles T-shirt hanging from the door.’

After initial confusion about whether she was actually referencing the famous rock band, Swift later cleared it up by explaining: ‘I love the band the Eagles, but guys, like, come on… I’m from Philly. Of course it’s the team.’

She was even spotted wearing Eagles gear as recently as two weeks before hitting it off with Kelce, meaning tonight’s Super Bowl offers up a real dilemma for her.

However, after being anointed as the queen of Chiefs Kingdom last season, Swift is in too deep with both Travis and the Kansas City faithful to not support them in New Orleans.

Despite calling time on his own career almost a year ago, Jason’s deep-rooted love for the Eagles means he is still backing them to beat his little brother’s team this weekend.

But the legendary ex-Eagles center says he will also be cheering his younger brother on

Travis’ older sibling recently told him on their New Heights podcast: ‘Here’s the biggest thing. Obviously, you’re my brother. I always root for my brother. That’s the reality of it.

‘Even though I’m decked out in Eagles gear, I’m always going to root for Travis. But there’s a lot of people in the Philadelphia organization, whether it’s players, coaches, people in the building that feel like extended family to me, especially my former lineman, like Lane Johnson feels like a brother in a lot of ways.

‘And I’m rooting for those guys too. I’m rooting for Philadelphia and I’m rooting for Travis Kelce. That’s the reality of it. No matter what on game day, I’m going to be happy for one of those sides and I’m going to be sad for the other side.’

He added: ‘I would be lying if I said I don’t want the Eagles to win. You know what I mean?’

Just like her husband, Kylie is also going against her brother-in-law this weekend after becoming a die-hard Birds fan during her relationship with Jason.

Yet while she still very much bleeds green, the former Eagles WAG admits she is torn given her love for Travis. 

‘I am so happy and proud of Travis and the Chiefs’ accomplishments,’ Kylie said on her Not Gonna Lie podcast last week.

‘I think that the opportunity to play for such a historic milestone [a Super Bowl three-peat] is incredible to be able to potentially witness. And I think that Travis has been there for his entire career, he has worked so hard and put in so much time that I am truly, as always, cheering Travis on. And I love him, he’s my family. So I will always cheer on Travis’ accomplishments and hopefully successes.

‘That being said, I was raised to bleed green,’ she continued. ‘I have friends who are still associated with the team. I have a close relationship with a lot of people in the Eagles organization. I get to live in the Philadelphia community. So I will also be cheering for the success of those people. Ultimately, the plan is to go the game and cheer.’

When Travis and Jason famously went head-to-head in the ‘Kelce Bowl’ two years ago, mom Donna became an internet sensation after wearing a split Chiefs-and-Eagles jersey leading up to the game.

Yet this time around, Donna and ex-husband Ed only have one son to root for when Kansas City and Philadelphia meet again in New Orleans.

There will be no need for any half-and-half jerseys at the Superdome as far as the mom and dad of the Kelce family are concerned, with both of them set to support Travis and the Chiefs at the final hurdle of their three-peat journey.

Scott and Andrea Swift (Chiefs?)

What remains uncertain, however, is which camp Swift’s parents will be in this weekend.

The pop megastar’s dad, Scott, was always a huge Eagles fan before his daughter became romantically involved with a Kansas City Chiefs legend in 2023.

And given they are from Philadelphia, mom Andrea would surely have been in the same boat before Travis and the Chiefs came along.

But over the past two seasons, both Scott and Andrea have frequently worn Kansas City gear and colors to games with Taylor, including at last month’s AFC Championship game – which they chose to attend while the Eagles were playing in the NFC equivalent.

But it remains to be seen who Swift’s dad Scott (top left) and mom Andrea (top right) root for

Scott in particular has drawn criticism for switching allegiances, and that outrage could reach boiling point if he attends Sunday’s game head-to-toe in Chiefs red.

Nevertheless, Kelce is convinced his future father-in-law will do exactly that. 

‘I know her father has a Philadelphia fandom as an Eagles fan,’ Kelce said earlier this week about his girlfriend’s family. ‘I’ll have to ask Scott himself, we haven’t had that conversation yet. 

‘But I think he’ll be wearing red.’
