Taylor Ann Green Confirms ‘Southern Charm’ Exit Months After Saying Reality TV Wasn’t In Her Five-Year Plan

Leva Bonaparte recently declared her departure from Southern Charm, and now Taylor Ann Green has followed suit in exiting the Bravo series. Green shared her decision in an Instagram post, expressing a mix of emotions as she bids farewell to the show.

Green made the “bittersweet announcement” in an Instagram post today.

In her announcement, Green reflected on the past year and revealed her peaceful but heavy heart in choosing to step away from the show in the upcoming year. She expressed gratitude for the five years spent with NBC and Bravo, acknowledging the craziness and excitement that filled her time on the show. Green thanked the network, production teams, Bravo family, and fans for their support throughout her journey in the spotlight.

Green described her experience on the show as a wild rollercoaster ride, yet an incredible one. She expressed her enthusiasm to shift her focus towards her athleisure company, Reset Athletic, indicating that she is looking forward to this new chapter in her life.

Green first joined Southern Charm in Season 7 as Shep Rose‘s girlfriend, though they broke up after more than two years of dating. The former reality star was later entangled in a Bravo scandal when she kissed Rose’s best friend Austen Kroll, who was in a previous situationship with her then-good friend Olivia Flowers, ahead of Season 9.

Green then returned for Season 10 with a new boyfriend, Gaston Rojas, and bone to pick with his ex-girlfriend Salley Carson, who joined the show as a full-time cast member.

In a January interview with DECIDER, Green hinted at her impending exit from Southern Charm when she confirmed that reality TV was not in her five-year plan.

“I think that’s why I launched a brand in hopes that that will take off so that I don’t have to do reality TV anymore,” she said during our Zoom chat. “It’s not for the faint of heart, I’ll say that. So you really have to have a backbone. And sometimes I find myself, especially after last year and kind of going into this year, it’s like I’m really trying to build that back. But it’s not easy.”

Southern Charm is currently streaming on Bravo.
