A former high-ranking FBI special agent has predicted a further rise in political violence in the United States amidst the ongoing destruction of Tesla vehicles and showrooms that appear to be targeted at intimidating Elon Musk, the chief of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
Michael Tabman, who previously served as the special agent in charge of the FBI’s Minneapolis Field Office, emphasized that the recent violent incidents involving Tesla assets are unequivocal instances of domestic terrorism.
“I am concerned that we may see an increase in violence,” Tabman informed Fox News Digital. “It may not necessarily be focused on Teslas or DOGE, but rather a general upsurge in political violence. I believe it is already present, but there could be more coming.”
Tesla vehicles are not the only target of anti-Musk rage.
On March 7, a man now identified as Daniel Clarke-Pounder, 24, allegedly set fire to three Tesla vehicle charging stations in North Charleston, South Carolina.
According to a statement from the U.S. District Attorney’s Office for the District of South Carolina, Clarke was witnessed using Molotov cocktails during the incident and is accused of spray-painting “F— Trump, long live Ukraine,” near the scene.
He was arrested by the ATF in conjunction with the North Charleston Police Department and charged with arson. He faces up to 20 years in federal prison if convicted.
