The Doge Bites Again—Slashes Huge Amount From Education Dept., Including $100M for DEI

You could apply a similar line to the Department of Government Efficiency, swapping “until you are dead!” with “until you are really, really efficient!”

The Department of Government Efficiency has recently made a significant move by reducing nearly $1 billion from the oversized Department of Education. This cut also includes around $100 million allocated for DEI projects that do not directly contribute to students’ learning in core subjects like reading, writing, science, and math.

It is likely that activist judges will attempt to limit the authority of the executive branch, which has been actively working, led by DOGE and Elon Musk, to trim the excessive bureaucracy within the federal government.
