The LA anti-ICE riots spiraled out of control partially due to the lackluster response from Democratic leaders, including California Governor Gavin Newsom. Rather than backing federal law enforcement efforts, Newsom chose to turn the situation into a battleground against President Donald Trump.
Newsom’s reaction included a public uproar over Trump’s deployment of the National Guard, attempting to shift blame onto the President for the escalation of the riots that arose from the negligence of him and other Democratic officials. Newsom’s decision to file a lawsuit over this further highlights his priority of clashing with Trump over quelling the unrest.
A tweet by Scaramucci added fuel to the fire, drawing widespread criticism, particularly targeting Newsom. Scaramucci, known for his frequent inaccuracies, found himself in a position where many likened him to CNBS host Jim Cramer.

Gavin and Scaramucci are deluded, but I don’t think the American public is.
