Authorities in Utah are searching for a missing tourist visiting from Finland whose family said they haven’t heard from him in two weeks.
The Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in finding 29-year-old Onni Llmari Raassina, who was reported missing on March 17.
Officials said Raassina was picked up from the Salt Lake City International Airport on March 5, according to his family.Â
His family believes he was then dropped off in Duchesne County, near the Moon Lake area, which is about 150 miles east of Salt Lake City.

He is described as being a 5-foot-8, White male, with blue eyes and short strawberry blonde hair.
Crowley said Raassina’s family came to Utah and tried to find him for two weeks.
Expressing the urgency of the situation, a captain from the Sheriff’s Office emphasized the unusual circumstances of Raassina’s disappearance. The captain highlighted the fact that Raassina, who is not originally from the United States, had flown in from Finland with no clear reason known to his family for embarking on a hiking trip in the area.
