Tracy Morgan, the comedian, shares his experience of getting sick at a Knicks game in Madison Square Garden

NEW YORK — During Monday night’s basketball game between the New York Knicks and the Miami Heat at Madison Square Garden, Tracy Morgan, well-known for his work on “30 Rock” and “Saturday Night Live,” experienced a health issue while seated courtside. The incident caused a brief interruption in the third quarter of the game.

During the game’s broadcast, the announcer said the delay was to clean up after a fan who apparently “lost the contents of their stomach courtside.”

Social media footage appeared to show Morgan being pushed in a wheelchair along the court while holding a towel to his face.

Morgan posted on his Instagram page Tuesday morning, showing himself in a hospital bed, and said the doctors say it was all due to food poisoning.

“I’m grateful for all the concern! I’m feeling better now, and the doctors have informed me that it was a case of food poisoning. I want to thank my MSG family for their excellent care and acknowledge the crew who had to clean up. Thank you! On a lighter note, the Knicks have won every game in which I’ve had an incident, so maybe I should consider doing it again during the playoffs. #goknicks”

A spokesperson for Madison Square Garden told CNN, “We hope Tracy feels better soon and look forward to seeing him back courtside.”

Morgan, 56, is a devoted Knicks fan and a familiar presence courtside at MSG.

Tracy Morgan has encountered various health issues in the past, including a life-threatening car accident in 2014 that resulted in a two-week coma. Additionally, he has been managing diabetes and underwent a kidney transplant back in 2010.

The Knicks won the game over the Heat 116-95 after play resumed.
