Six people died and two others were injured when a boat capsized in California, with the Coast Guard searching for two additional individuals.
Six individuals lost their lives in a tragic incident when a boat overturned close to D.L. Bliss State Park on Lake Tahoe in Tahoe City, California. The U.S. Coast Guard confirmed this in an official statement released following the event.
Additionally, two individuals sustained injuries during the incident and were swiftly transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment. The Coast Guard has reported that efforts are underway to locate two individuals who are currently unaccounted for.
The distressing event unfolded at 3 p.m. on a Saturday when authorities were notified that ten individuals had ended up in the water. Consequently, the Coast Guard mobilized a response team to the location to provide assistance and support.

According to the Coast Guard, winds at the time were just over 34 mph, with a 6-8-foot swell.
The condition of the two people who were injured is unknown.Â
