One person is dead and several others are wounded after a shooting at a cosmetic manufacturing plant in Ohio, according to local police.
New Albany, Ohio, announced on its website that the police were called to an incident involving an active shooter at the KDC/One manufacturing plant around 11 p.m. on Tuesday.
The KDC/One plant is known for providing specialized solutions for top global brands in beauty, personal care, and home care industries as stated on its website.
New Albany Police Chief Greg Jones stated that it is uncertain whether the perpetrator was a plant employee and that the incident seems to have been a deliberate and unexplained assault.

Jones also said a firearm was recovered from the scene.
An update posted to the city website at around 2:30 a.m. said officers were finishing evacuating employees from the building. Jones said approximately 150 people were evacuated to a neighboring building.
