President Donald Trump announced on Saturday that he has ordered airstrikes against the Houthi rebels in Yemen.
Trump, in a Truth Social post, stated that he had given orders for the United States Military to initiate forceful action against the Houthi terrorists in Yemen.
According to Trump’s post, the Houthi terrorists have been conducting a relentless campaign of piracy, violence, and terrorism targeting American and other ships, aircraft, and drones.
Continuing his post, Trump criticized Joe Biden for what he perceived as a feeble response, allowing the Houthis to continue their activities unchecked. Trump highlighted that it had been more than a year since a U.S. flagged commercial vessel had safely traversed the Suez Canal, the Red Sea, or the Gulf of Aden.
