As I wrote, it was a fitting message to Biden, and immediately following the announcement was not the time to fire off with political hot takes.
However, “we can—and will—get back to our regularly scheduled programming another day,” I argued—and now it’s another day.
There are many questions raised by doctors, medical professionals, and even leftist media commentators regarding the timing of the announcement. It came right after Fake News Chief Jake Tapper’s “exposé” on the Great Biden Mental Cover-Up and the revelation of audio from the former president’s disastrous interview with then-Special Counsel Robert Hur.
On Monday, the president spoke to reporters and expressed some of the concerns that many have about the matter:
Trump expressed his surprise at the timing of the announcement, mentioning that the public should have been informed much earlier considering the progression to stage nine, indicating that it took a significant period of time. He highlighted that he recently underwent a thorough physical examination, including cognitive assessments, carried out by doctors at the White House and Walter Reed Hospital.
Trump also referenced Biden’s cognitive decline during his presidency, stating that “anybody running for president should take a cognitive test.”
“They say it’s unconstitutional. But I would say in that particular case, having a cognitive test wouldn’t be so bad,” the Republican said.
