Exciting news for all the Hearties out there! The twelfth season finale of the popular show “When Calls the Heart” was aired in March. However, fans will be pleased to know that the beloved Western drama has been confirmed for a thirteenth season!
According to Hallmark Media’s Senior Vice President of Programming, Samantha DiPippo, the Hearties are not just a fan base but a connected community, displaying loyalty and support similar to the characters of Hope Valley. DiPippo expressed her joy in being able to share stories of hope, resilience, humor, and romance that have captivated millions of viewers for over twelve seasons and will continue in the future.
Aside from the season renewal, there is another change happening in Hope Valley. Joy Gregory is set to take over from Lindsay Sturman as the showrunner for the upcoming Season 13. While Sturman was the showrunner for Seasons 10 through 12, Gregory’s previous role on the show was that of a writer and executive producer during Season 12.

Nope. Hearts Around the Table: Kiki’s Fourth Ingredient airs from 7:00-9:00 p.m. ET, followed by an episode of The Chicken Sisters (“This is War, Y’all”).
You know it! As we mentioned above, Hallmark Channel announced the renewal after the Season 12 finale aired on Sunday, March 23.
“Hearties are far more than a fan base — they are a connected community, as loyal and supportive as the characters of Hope Valley,” Hallmark Media’s Senior Vice President of Programming Samantha DiPippo said in a statement. “It is an honor to tell stories of hope, resilience, humor. and romance that continue to resonate with millions of viewers for twelve seasons and beyond.”
No official premiere date has been announced, but the show is expected to return with new episodes in 2026 (per Deadline). Eight of the previous ten seasons have debuted in March or earlier — seven of the eight seasons premiered no later than February 24 — so we expect an early 2026 release date.
Seasons 1-12 of When Calls the Heart are streaming on Hallmark+, and Seasons 8-12 are available on Peacock.
