Over the past week, there has been a lot of attention on USAID’s questionable practices involving corruption and money laundering. While suspicions about the agency’s activities have lingered for some time, it was only recently that the extent of its misuse of funds meant for international aid came to light. Instead of promoting goodwill, the agency was discovered to be undermining US allies and diplomacy, even influencing domestic politics through progressive organizations.
Currently, the legal battle regarding this issue is ongoing, resulting in most employees being placed on administrative leave. Additionally, staff members working abroad have been called back to the US, and non-essential projects have been halted during this period of uncertainty.
While the future of USAID hinges on decisions made by Congress, its once-respected reputation now lies in ruins. The individuals involved in managing the network of leftist programs, both domestically and internationally, are likely to seek new opportunities due to the financial strain caused by these revelations. Ultimately, the exposure of how funds were misused for political purposes has shed light on the unsettling reality of propagandizing within the US to favor a specific political faction.

The Ronald Reagan Building & International Trade Center in Washington, DC houses the offices of the US Agency for International Development – USAID. Its letters above the entrance have been removed. So too with the street sign—but “US Customs & Border Protection” still remain. pic.twitter.com/3giZsQqWn3

This is the new headquarters for US Customs and Border Protection.
If the agency is able to survive this near-death experience, nothing will ever be the same again.
