A dash camera caught the horrifying moment a vehicle flew off the Interstate 5 overpass onto a busy California freeway on Presidents’ Day.
Law enforcement arrived at the accident site in Sacramento just before 1 p.m. on Monday. The driver was discovered with injuries and was subsequently taken to the hospital. According to the police, he was in critical but stable condition.
The accident was captured by the dash camera of a driver transiting the freeway below.
Kyman Jeung told local outlet KCRA-TV that he was still “on edge” hours after the incident unfolded.

The authorities communicated the traffic update through X and proceeded to shut down West El Camino Avenue from Gateway Oaks Drive to Azevedo Drive until the site was cleared.
The driver of the vehicle was the only person taken to the hospital, according to police.
