On Monday, a jury found Marine Corps veteran Daniel Penny not guilty of negligent homicide in the Jordan Neely case.
Back in May 2023, Penny encountered Neely, a homeless man with a history of mental illness and criminal behavior, during a subway incident in New York City. Neely had been displaying aggressive and threatening behavior towards fellow passengers.
Neely, who was also restrained by other passengers, was later at a nearby hospital.
Following the incident, Penny’s life took a dramatic turn. She found herself facing charges from District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who many consider overly influenced by woke ideology. Penny had stepped in to protect other subway riders from potential harm by Neely, who, based on witness accounts, expressed hunger, a willingness to go to jail, and a readiness to face death while on the subway train.
