Upon departing from Washington, Elon Musk is bid farewell by President Donald Trump through a public video that highlights Musk’s accomplishments and portrays him as a revered figure.
The video, shared on X, commences with Trump declaring his full support for Musk and the establishment of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), attributing it to Musk’s initiatives. Trump then praises the success of DOGE, crediting Musk for its achievements.

Very few individuals worldwide have influenced humanity as significantly as Tesla/SpaceX CEO Musk has. Moreover, few can claim to have made as positive an impact on the United States as he has.
Musk’s contributions can’t be understated. For one, he was part of the reason Donald Trump was reelected in the first place. The promise that Musk would create the Department of Government Efficiency and begin cutting the fat, waste, and fraud in our government was appealing to many voters. Then, when Trump was elected, Musk got to work right away.Â
And DOGE became a force to be reckoned with immediately. Under Musk’s direction, jaw-dropping expenditures were exposed to the world, including billions going to “consultants” that preach climate doom, USAID foreign aid abuse, illegal immigrants on Medicaid, and more.Â
Trump read some out himself at one point:Â
– $101 million for DEI contracts at the Department of Education.Â
– $59 million for illegal alien hotel rooms in New York CityÂ
– $45 million for DEI scholarships in BurmaÂ
– $42 million for social and behavioral change in Uganda.Â
– $20 million for Arab Sesame Street.Â
– $8 million for making mice transgender.

As Jennifer O’Connell reported on Friday, DOGE is estimated to have saved $175 billion, relating to over $1,000 saved per taxpayer.

As O’Connell reported, Musk might be riding off into the sunset, but DODGE isn’t done. It will continue to operate without Musk, rooting through the government and discovering waste and fraud. What’s been made pretty clear during Musks’s time is that our own government has been abusive with our money in almost every regard, with outrageous expenses being charged to the American people without our consent.Â
As Nick Arama reported on Wednesday, DOGE cuts are finally making their way to congress to be codified. These rescission packages will be arriving on Monday or Tuesday, according to the Office of Management and Budget Director Russ Vought.Â
None of this would be possible without the man, the myth, the legend, Elon Musk, and we all owe him a huge debt of gratitude. Not only did he do this because he believes in America, he believes that America holds the future of humanity in its hands, and he endured no end of barbs and slings to do what he did.Â
