Footage from security cameras showed a memorable interaction between a canine and a full-grown black bear inside a residence in California last week. The incident involved the dog and the bear coming face to face within the home.
Zoë Cadman, who resides in Monrovia, posted a video on her social media accounts documenting a large bear wandering around her backyard before eventually entering her house just before midnight on June 14.
Describing the unusual awakening, Cadman mentioned on Facebook how startling it was to discover a bear rummaging through her refrigerator merely 10 feet away from where she was sleeping. Instead of reaching for her phone, she revealed that she let out a loud roar and swiftly fled through the front door, with her brave dog, Doodle, coming to the rescue.

Earlier this year, Kentucky homeowners were met with a similar surprise when a black bear crashed through their ceiling. Officials said the bear had likely climbed a ladder and squeezed into the attic before crashing down into the kitchen.
Zoë Cadman and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
