The Last of Us Season 2 made a strong return on HBO recently, bringing joy to fans of the video game adaptation by featuring Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie. The new season continues the story five years after the intense events of the first season. Joel and Ellie are now residing in a survivors’ community in Jackson, Wyoming. Although they are in a safe place, their relationship is strained, possibly due to Ellie discovering Joel’s actions of eliminating the Fireflies in Salt Lake City to protect her. Unbeknownst to them, someone else is seeking revenge on Joel for his past deeds in the Season 1 finale.
A new character named Abby (played by Kaitlyn Dever) and her companions have spent years tracking down Joel to Jackson with the intent of seeking vengeance. Abby is joined by Manny (Danny Ramirez), Mel (Ariela Barer), Nora (Tati Gabrielle), and Owen (Spencer Lord) – the only surviving Fireflies from Salt Lake City who are determined to make Joel pay for his actions.
Will Abby finally confront Joel in the upcoming episodes? Could viewers witness a heartfelt moment between Dina (Isabela Merced) and Ellie? What transpired between Joel and Eugene? And will any other characters seek therapy in the following episodes? These intriguing questions keep the suspense alive for fans as they eagerly await the next episodes of The Last of Us Season 2.
