Are you interested in seeing Jack Quaid endure a brutal beating while you relax comfortably on your couch at home? Well, you’re in for a treat because the film Novocaine from 2025 will be available for purchase and rent on digital platforms starting tomorrow.
Directed by Dan Berk and Robert Olsen, and written by Lars Jacobson, Novocaine features Jack Quaid (who happens to be the son of Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan) in the lead role of Nate Cain. Nate is a man who was born with a unique medical condition that renders him unable to feel any pain. When Nate connects with his dream girl, Sherry (portrayed by Prey star Amber Midthunder), he soon witnesses her being abducted by a group of bank robbers. Determined to save her, Nate decides to leverage his condition to rescue his beloved himself.
With an ensemble cast including Ray Nicholson, Jacob Batalon, Betty Gabriel, and Matt Walsh, Novocaine achieved a global box office revenue of over $32 million. Now, Paramount Pictures is aiming to capitalize further on the film’s success with its premium video-on-demand release. However, before you spend $25 to watch Novocaine at home, it’s worth noting that the 2025 movie will soon be available for free streaming on Paramount Plus.
Beginning on Tuesday, April 8 at 12 a.m. Eastern Time (which is also April 7 at 9 p.m. Pacific Time) Novocaine will be available to buy digitally on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Fandango At Home, and more. The price may vary depending on which platform you use to purchase the film, but on Amazon Prime the movie costs $24.99 to buy, and $19.99 to rent. If you rent the movie, you’ll have 48 hours to watch the movie after you hit “play.”
Novocaine is not yet streaming on any subscription streaming services, but we do expect to see Novocaine streaming on Paramount+ soon, because it is a Paramount movie.
The Novocaine Paramount+ streaming date has not yet been announced. Right now, the movie is only in theaters. That said, we do expect to see Novocaine streaming on Paramount+ eventually, but we’re not sure when. Another recent Paramount film, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, was released in theaters on December 20; released on digital platforms one month after opening in theaters, on January 21; and began streaming on Paramount+ about two months after opening in theaters, on February 18.
If Novocaine follows a similar release pattern, you might see the movie streaming on Paramount+ around mid-May 2025.
But this is all speculation. If you want to watch Novocaine right away, you can buy or rent the film online.
