Pierce Brosnan and Samuel L. Jackson are keeping westerns alive with their movie, The Unholy Trinity, opening in movie theaters this weekend.
Directed by Richard Gray, with a screenplay written by Lee Zachariah, The Unholy Trinity is an old-school western action flick starring Brosnan as Sherriff Gabriel Dove, the head of law enforcement in a small, remote town called Trinity. A mysterious stranger rides into town (Jackson), and a young innocent (Brandon Lessard) gets caught in the crossfire.
Also starring Veronica Ferres, Gianni Capaldi, Q’orianka Kilcher, Tim Daly, Ethan Peck, Katrina Bowden, and David Arquette The Unholy Trinity will transport viewers to another time. If you’re a western fan, you don’t want to miss it. Here’s what to know about where to watch the The Unholy Trinity movie and when we expect to be able to watch The Unholy Trinity movie streaming on Hulu.
For now, The Unholy Trinity will only be available to watch in a movie theatre, when it opens in theatres wide in the U.S. on Friday, June 13. You can find a showing near you via Fandango. The Unholy Trinity is not yet available to watch online or on streaming.
The Unholy Trinity is not streaming on Netflix or Prime Video right now. While it’s possible The Unholy Trinity may stream on Netflix someday, it won’t be any time soon. The Unholy Trinity is not a Netflix original—it’s a small, independent film being distributed by Roadside Attractions and Saban Films. Right now, Roadside Attractions has an output deal with Hulu, which means Hulu has the exclusive rights to stream The Unholy Trinity after the movie’s theatrical release during the “Pay 1” window.
You will be able to purchase The Unholy Trinity on Prime Video eventually, when the movie becomes available to buy and rent on digital, but you will not be able to stream The Unholy Trinity for free on Prime Video any time soon, because it is not a Prime original movie. If you want to watch The Unholy Trinity movie at home, you’ll have to wait for the film to be available to buy or rent on digital platforms, or wait for it to stream on Hulu.
The Unholy Trinity movie digital release date has not yet been announced. However, we can make an educated guess as to when we might see The Unholy Trinity on video-on-demand, based on the digital release of previous films from Roadside Attractions.
Another Roadside Attractions movie, The Surfer, was released in theaters on May 2, and was released on digital platforms on June 6—aka, about one month after opening in theaters. If The Unholy Trinity follows a similar pattern, you might see the movie on video-on-demand in about one month, around mid-July 2025. That said, other Roadside movies have taken two months to come to digital, so you might be waiting until August.
After The Unholy Trinity releases on digital, we expect to see the movie streaming on Hulu.
The Unholy Trinity movie is not currently streaming on Hulu, but we do expect to see The Unholy Trinity on Hulu sometime in the next six months, because the film’s distributor, Roadside Attractions, has had an output deal with Hulu since 2022, which means Hulu has the exclusive streaming rights to Roadside films during the post-theatrical Pay 1 window.
There is no official The Unholy Trinity Hulu release date yet, but based on past releases—like The Last Showgirl, which released in theaters on December 13 and began streaming on Hulu on May 23—we can guess that The Unholy Trinity will stream on Hulu in about five months, around November 2025.
If you’re new to Hulu, you can get started with a 30-day free trial on the streamer’s basic (with ads) plan. After the trial period, you’ll pay $9.99/month. If you want to upgrade to Hulu ad-free, it costs $18.99/month.
If you want to stream even more and save a few bucks a month while you’re at it, we recommend subscribing to one of the Disney+ Bundles, all of which include Hulu. These bundles start at $10.99/month for ad-supported Disney+ and Hulu and goes up to $29.99/month for Disney+, Hulu, and Max, all ad-free.
But this is all speculation. If you want to see The Unholy Trinity right away, you can catch the movie in a theater.
