Is ‘Tracker’ On Tonight? ‘Tracker’ Season 2, Episode 20 Premiere Time And More

Tracker Season 2, Episode 20 took viewers and characters alike on a wild ride.

The episode was written by Elwood Reid and directed by Ken Olin, where Colter (played by Justin Hartley) returns home in Echo Ridge, California to investigate the disappearance of a local diner owner, Bill (portrayed by Brian Keane). During his visit, Colter also reconnects with his mom Mary Dove Shaw (played by Wendy Crewson), stumbles upon a troubling kidnapping case, and gains insight into the tragic death of his father, Ashton Shaw (portrayed by Lee Tergesen).

After the eventful episode, viewers were left on a cliffhanger with many unanswered questions, which left fans curious about what’s to come next.

Viewers who are eager to find out when the next episode of Tracker will air may be wondering if it will be on tonight, May 18. They may also be interested in knowing how many episodes are in Tracker Season 2, the return date for new episodes of Tracker on CBS, and whether CBS has renewed Tracker for a Season 3.

Here’s everything to know about the future of Tracker, including Tracker‘s Season 3 premiere date, streaming info, and more.

Technically, yes! Tracker is on tonight, Sunday, May 18, 2025. But it’s not a new episode. CBS will be re-airing Tracker Season 2, Episode 6, “Trust Fall,” from 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. ET.

For those who need a refresher, here’s Episode 206’s synopsis: “While searching for missing campers, Colter meets a retired police officer who believes a serial killer is on the loose.”

Tracker Season 1 consisted of 13 episodes, and Tracker Season 2 featured 20 episodes, which means Season 2, Episode 20, “Echo Ridge,” which aired on Sunday, May 11, was the sophomore season’s finale. So the question now is…

Curious if Tracker Season 3 is on the horizon? On February 20, 2025, CBS renewed the popular survivalist drama for Season 3, which means Tracker will return with new episodes in the future.

Back in February, CBS reported that Tracker hit over 18 million multiplatform viewers, which was up four percent year over year. And on May 7, 2025, CBS claimed another big win with Tracker taking the top spot in the network’s 2024-2025 season to date, averaging 17.5 million broadcast and streaming viewers per episode, per a Nielsen 35-day streaming report. It’s clear why CBS was eager to renew the hit series! So when is Tracker’s return date?

As of Tracker‘s Season 2 finale date, an official Season 3 premiere date had yet to be announced, but CBS confirmed the series will return during the 2026-2027 broadcast season.

To get a better idea of Tracker‘s release schedule so far, Season 1 aired from February to May 2024, but was only 13 episodes. And Tracker‘s 20-episode Season 2 aired from October 2024 to May 2025. Considering the sophomore season’s success, CBS may want to opt for another fall premiere date. But for now, stay tuned for more Season 3 premiere updates.
