FORMER second gentleman Doug Emhoff has cashed in on a high-powered corporate job after being booted from the White House.
Bitter supporters blasted the lawyer for chasing paychecks and abandoning his wife, Kamala Harris, after their failed presidential bid.

On Monday, private law firm Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP announced that Emhoff had joined the office as a partner.
Emhoff’s new responsibilities involve assisting prominent companies such as TikTok and affluent individuals in handling legal matters and overcoming various business obstacles, as stated in the firm’s press statement.
Because the firm is based in New York City, the ex-public servant will split his time between Los Angeles, where he lives with his wife, Harris.
“I am delighted to be joining Willkie, where I am looking forward to working alongside trusted and innovative legal counselors,” Emhoff said.
“I couldn’t be more thrilled to join this talented and collaborative team.”
Several backers, still reeling from Harris’ disappointing defeat in November, criticized Emhoff for supporting corporations in maintaining their advantageous positions, especially after Harris had claimed to champion the interests of the common people.
One angered X user said, “This is how you make your millions in politics.”
“The oligarchy at work,” they fumed.
Another person joked, “He believes in equity. Private equity!”
