The clip, shared on Telegram by Ukraine’s Special Operation Forces, shows North Korean troops being wiped out on the battlefield in Kurshchina.

The post said that 77 North Korean troops have been killed and up to 40 have been injured in fierce battles in the past three days.

Twelve vehicles were also destroyed in the battle.

President Zelensky on Monday reported that more than 3,000 North Korean soldiers have been killed or wounded in the Kursk region.

Linking this development to the increasing collaboration between Russia and North Korea, he expressed concerns about the potential impact on regional stability, especially in the vicinity of the Korean Peninsula.

Zelensky underscored in his message on Telegram the dangers posed by the dissemination of military knowledge and practices from Russia as a worldwide hazard that necessitates collective action from the global community to avert additional turmoil.

It comes as South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said that more than 1,000 North Korean soldiers have been killed or wounded in the war.

The updated number comes in the wake of a recent announcement by Seoul’s intelligence agency, which disclosed that over 100 North Korean troops had lost their lives in combat situations since December.

The JCS said: “Through various sources of information and intelligence, we assess that North Korean troops who have recently engaged in combat with Ukrainian forces have suffered around 1,100 casualties.

Kim Jong-un is sending even more North Korean troops to Putin’s war, according to South Korean intelligence.

“We are particularly interested in the possibility of additional deployments” of North Korean soldiers to aid Russia’s war effort, JCS said.

Pyongyang has sent thousands of troops to reinforce the Russian military, including to the Kursk border region where Ukrainian forces seized territory earlier this year.

Pyongyang is reportedly “preparing for the rotation or additional deployment of soldiers”, the JCS added.

Intelligence also suggests that the nuclear-armed North is “producing and providing self-destructible drones” to Russia to further assist Moscow in its fight against Ukraine, it said.

The North was also supplying “240mm rocket launchers and 170mm self-propelled artillery” for the Russian army.

North Korean soldiers were confirmed on the front line for the first time over the weekend after the first reports of them arriving in Russia back in October.

Footage released by Ukraine earlier this week shows drones decked out with Christmas toys including, reindeer and a Santa Clause, hunting down North Korean troops.

While a leaked audio recording of a phone call between a Russian nurse and her husband, allegedly intercepted by Ukraine’s security services, suggests Russia’s hospitals are crammed with North Korean casualties.

The conversation was between a nurse in the capital, Moscow, and her husband who is fighting in Kharkiv.

The woman can be heard saying: “Yesterday, there was a train with about 100 people.

“Today, 120 others, making 200.

“How many more are there? God only knows.”

The woman complains that injured North Korean troops have flooded the hospitals, leaving Russians to be treated in worse conditions.

The frustrated nurse explains that the language barrier causes problems and Kim’s men don’t speak any Russian, and the medics are not allowed to use English – only a dodgy online translator.

This week there were reports North Korean troops accidentally killed eight of Putin’s troops after opening fire on them, unaware they were Russian as they couldn’t understand what they were saying.

Drone footage released by various Ukrainian military sources identifies active soldiers in the Kursk region who are claimed to be North Korean.

Unsettling pictures show rows of bodies believed to be dead North Korean and Russian soldiers side-by-side after getting killed in battle.
