An Alabama woman who told her boyfriend she was ready to “watch you die” and ran him over with her car will spend the rest of her life behind bars.

Angelica Quintana, 31, has been sentenced following a guilty verdict by a jury in February. The charges against her stem from an incident three years ago when she was accused of killing her boyfriend, Dennis Melton, 27, who was also the father of her three children.

The events unfolded in February 2022 when police in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, received reports of a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle on Interstate 59/20. Initially thought to be an accident, it was later determined that Quintana, the driver, had intentionally struck Melton.
