According to Nancy Rotering’s Wikipedia page, her full name is Nancy Rodkin Rotering, and she went to the University of Chicago Law School before becoming the Mayor of Highland Park, Illinois.
Rotering got her bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and then went to Northwestern University to get her master’s degree in business administration.
Before she went to law school, she worked as an Administrative Resident at the Mayo Clinic and as a Benefits Analyst at General Motors.
Before she went into politics, she also worked as an attorney at McDermott Will & Emery.
After working for the City of Highland Park for two years as a Councilwoman, Nancy became the Mayor of Highland Park in May 2011.
In addition to her job as mayor, she gives lectures at Northwestern University to first-year students in courses called Women and American Political Leadership.
Before becoming mayor of Highland Park from 2005 to 2009, Rotering worked for the city for four years as Environmental Commissioner and Planning Commissioner.
