Most of us remember Lily D Moore as fashion lover Rebecca in Netflix’s “Never Have I Ever.” Still, she booked her first leading role in Hallmark’s “Color My World with Love” opposite David DeSanctis, another actor with Down syndrome.

The firm follows Moore’s character, Kendall, falling in love and getting engaged to Brad (DeSanctis). However, her mom Emma (Erica Durance) worries that Kendall and Brad might not be ready to marry.

She added that people with disabilities had real feelings, so they should be portrayed as regular people who want to fall in love, get married, land jobs, go to college, and multiple other things.

DeSanctis also has high expectations for his career. He has worked on other projects but wants to get out of his comfort zone by developing TV shows and films.

LILY D MOORE HAS BIG AMBITIONS

Moore has loved acting since she attended her first drama class at age six. Unfortunately, she knows how hard it is to get rejected, and she hopes to pave the way for other people with disabilities in the entertainment industry.

Winning an Oscar would make Moore’s crusade significantly more manageable, which is her goal. She confessed she wanted to become the first Down syndrome actress to win the Academy Award.

Nowadays, Moore has a packed schedule. Apart from appearing in “Dangerous Moms” and “Holy Irresistible,” she will attend Clemson University to study healthcare.

Moore knows she wouldn’t have done all this on her own. She has credited her “super helpful” parents and older sisters for supporting and encouraging her to achieve her goals. Way to go!
