Whoopi Goldberg Censored On ‘The View’ For Calling Out Republicans’ Lack Of “Cajones”

With President Donald Trump settling back in the White House, a burning question has been haunting the minds of The View viewers: who is the new face leading the Democratic Party? During a recent episode of the popular daytime talk show, Whoopi Goldberg opted to deflect this question and rather directed her attention towards Republican lawmakers, criticizing them for not connecting with their supporters in the manner Democrats have been doing post their defeat in the 2024 election.

The discussion heated up following a massive rally in Denver which saw Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Bernie Sanders drawing a crowd of over 30,000 individuals. At this event, they passionately advocated for progressive policies while challenging President Trump and his followers.

Goldberg expressed, “I am intrigued by the expectation for Democrats to chart their course and execute their strategy, when we had already forewarned about the unfolding events, conveyed what was on the horizon, and individuals made their choice. What truly resonates with me is witnessing people taking active participation and involving themselves in the process.”

“There are so many Republicans that have decided not to engage at all. You see people and you see the pictures are there of the Republicans but the Republicans are not there,” she continued. “That should tell you something. If you don’t have the cajones to come and meet the people who put you in power, then you shouldn’t be there.”

Producers quickly bleeped out Goldberg’s “cajones” remark, though she continued to call out the political party for “ducking and dodging” their supporters, seemingly referring to the House GOP’s campaign arm Richard Hudson telling Republican lawmakers not to attend in-person town halls. She also slammed Trump’s deportation policies.

“People are concerned about all the things that you mentioned, but people don’t like seeing their right to protest disappear,” she said. “They don’t like seeing, when you said you just going to pick up the bad guys, and you picking up everybody and you not sending anybody back.”

According to Goldberg, Americans want these issues “fixed” — but not in the way Trump is doing it.

“They don’t like the way it’s happening because that means any of us, who someone says, ‘You look a little Spanish to me,’ or, ‘I don’t like what you’re saying,’ or, I don’t like who I think you are.’ These are the things that are starting to disappear and these are the things that are not the things that they were put into power to take care of,” she said.

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
