Attorney General Josh Kaul attempted to halt the payments through legal action but was unsuccessful. Initially, a lower judge ruled against halting the payments, followed by the Wisconsin Supreme Court just before the event.

Musk emphasized on Sunday that this race could influence “the future of America and Western Civilization.” He pointed out that a liberal-leaning court might lead to a redrawing of congressional districts, jeopardizing the GOP’s hold on the House of Representatives.
