A Mississippi woman has been charged with the death of her toddler daughter.
Police in Picayune were summoned to the residence of 33-year-old Christian and 30-year-old Samantha Enfinger around 10 a.m. on Tuesday, where they discovered the lifeless body of their daughter, Aurora Enfinger.

Authorities secured a search warrant and began collecting evidence related to the child’s death. During the investigation, steroids were uncovered in the house, leading to the Enfingers being arrested for possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute.
Following the release of the autopsy findings on Friday, it was revealed that the 3-year-old girl, Aurora, had passed away due to blunt force trauma. In light of this, Samantha Enfinger was charged with capital murder, according to WVUE.
“This is a tragic situation, and our thoughts and prayers are with those who cared for Aurora,” police said in a statement. “We ask that you pray for those impacted by this horrible crime and never forget this beautiful child.”
Investigators have not released any further information.
