On Sunday, a Florida pizza delivery woman was arrested for allegedly stabbing a pregnant customer over a low tip.
Florida authorities have detained Brianna Alvelo, 22, after she reportedly went back to a hotel room where she delivered a pizza and attacked a customer with a knife due to dissatisfaction over the tip given.
According to CBS News, the order was $33.10, and the customer only gave a $2.00 tip.
Allegedly, Alvelo returned to the Riviera Motel in Kissimmee with an unidentified male accomplice carrying a firearm, as per the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim was stabbed multiple times and was taken to a hospital in stable condition. Police stated that items were also taken from the motel room.
The victim suffered 14 stab wounds to various parts of her body, including the chest, arms, leg, and abdomen, as indicated by CBS News. She had to undergo surgery at the hospital for a punctured lung. It was later discovered during her hospital stay that she is a few weeks pregnant.
The victim’s boyfriend and 5-year-old daughter appear not to have sustained any serious injuries.
The armed male accomplice has still not been found, and police are seeking assistance in identifying and locating the suspect.
A CBS News affiliate, WKMG, was informed by the pizza restaurant owner that they are fully cooperating with law enforcement.
“The safety and well-being of customers and team members are always our top priority, and we are taking this incident very seriously,” the spokesperson said.
Brianna Alvelo was charged with home invasion with a firearm, attempted murder, kidnapping, and aggravated assault, and was booked into the Osceola County jail, according to CrimeOnline.
