Authorities in Tennessee identified remains found in DeKalb County as a 30-year-old woman missing since 2022z
Brittany Miller, who had been missing for over two years, was discovered by hunters in a wooded region close to Man Hill Road on January 11, according to DeKalb County police.
Miller vanished from her residence on Hurricane Ridge Road on July 4, 2022. Sheriff Ray revealed that the situation is now being treated as a death inquiry, with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation taking charge, as reported by WKRN.
“We are not disclosing how the body was found or the cause of death due to the sensitive nature of the investigation,” Ray said.
Search teams conducted multiple efforts around Miller’s home but found no trace of her. Her body was located across Highway 70, near her residence.
News Channel 5 reports that the state medical examiner confirmed her identity using medical records, and Miller’s family has been informed.
