A North Carolina man was arrested Wednesday after he was found at the scene of his girlfriend’s murder.
According to WNCN, Cary Police responded to a call at an apartment near CubeSmart Storage’s leasing office, where 41-year-old manager Rebecca Rene Carter resided. Upon arrival, they discovered Carter deceased.
While details surrounding Carter’s cause of death and the identity of the caller were not disclosed by the police, they did confirm the presence of 40-year-old Travis Wynton Huff at the location. Huff, identified as Carter’s boyfriend, reportedly uttered statements that raised suspicions and was consequently brought in for interrogation.
He was later charged with murder.
