Over the weekend, a tragic incident unfolded in Miami-Dade involving the discovery of a woman’s body near Interstate 95. Following multiple 911 calls reporting a disturbance, the Florida Highway Patrol arrived at the scene early Saturday morning.
Upon their arrival, authorities located the woman’s body on the grass adjacent to the highway and an onramp. Reportedly, she was found unclothed, although garments were found in close proximity. Details from WTVJ revealed the unsettling nature of the scene.
Later in the day, law enforcement officers engaged in a pursuit of a black BMW SUV on Interstate 75. Allegedly linked to a murder investigation, the vehicle led authorities off the highway onto Miramar Parkway. A collision with another vehicle occurred before the driver attempted to flee but was eventually apprehended.
Police have not released the driver’s name or said how or even if they were involved in the death of the woman, whose name has also not been released.
Investigators are trying to determine how the woman died, but Miami-Dade Police Detective Luis Sierra said that “right now its hard to determine what caused the injuries to the deceased female.” He did not say what kind of injuries she had either.
