Jimmy Kimmel And Molly McNearney Never Lift Their Foot Off The Gas
The dedicated pair revealed that they have come up with a special routine to maintain their relationship despite their busy schedules. Their unconventional “date nights” plan involves snuggling in bed, watching lots of TV, and having marathon sessions of their favorite shows. In McNearney’s view:
“We worked together for eight years before dating, and so we really just kind of kept that the same.”
The co-head writer also mentioned that they understand the importance of separating their personal and professional lives and not letting critiques of each other’s work affect their relationship. “It can be tough when my husband rejects my ideas, but I can handle it. I have thick skin,” she said.

“It never stops. No, no, never. He’ll wake up in the middle of the night, ‘Oh, let’s write this down.’ Or in the car, he’ll say, ‘Get your phone and write this down..the brain is always working.”

The Talk Show Host And His Wife Prioritize Date Nights
While their work ethic is enviable, the couple have increased the tempo around their romance, and now Kimmel has confirmed to be very fond of his date nights.
The couple are seemingly in unison over their preferred way to maintain intimacy. As a matter of fact, they will instead take a night in front of the boob tube over a night out on the town, any day.
“Our date nights are like lying in bed watching TV. We don’t like to go out,” declared Kimmel, as his wife added, “So hot. That is a nice night for us. To not do anything is the best kind of date for us. Postmates and Netflix, and it’s perfect. Or Hulu, of course.”
Kimmel and McNearney got candid about their private and professional business at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Gala on October 5.

The Executive Producer’s Main Priority Remains Their Four Children
Kimmel and his lovely wife are doting parents to two children: daughter Jane, 10, and son Billy, 7. The host and his former wife, Gina Maddy, also share two adult children: daughter Katie, 33, and son Kevin, 31.
Kimmel and McNearney explained that their son Billy is one of the main reasons they have supported Children’s Hospital Los Angeles throughout the years.
Billy was reportedly born with a rare and life-threatening heart condition in 2017 and received intensive medical care at the facility. Kimmel, who served as honorary chair for the gala this year alongside his wife, noted:
“It’s great to know that this hospital is here for anybody in Los Angeles or even the area, and they are so good with kids and so good with parents, which is, I think, kind of rare.”

“When we had to decide where we were going to get our son, Billy, operated on, we talked to a lot of doctors, and we decided that this was the best place, and we feel strongly that we made the right decision,” the show host added.
Inside Jimmy’s Son’s Successful Surgery
This is not the first time the star has spoken about his experience following his son’s surgical procedure this year.
As reported by The Blast in May, Kimmel took to his Instagram page to share a post-surgery picture of his son looking hopeful and optimistic on the hospital bed. The young boy even flashed a bright smile for the camera, earning his father’s praise in the caption.
“This weekend, our boy Billy had his third (of three, we hope) open heart surgery. We went into this experience with a lot of optimism and nearly as much fear and came out with a new valve inside a happy, healthy kid,” he explained.

Jimmy Kimmel Praised CHLA Affordable Care Act For Helping Families
The star’s praises did not end there; he hailed the hospital staff for their impressive service and assured the public that they helped families regardless of their financial standing.
According to Kimmel, low-income families could receive the care they needed at CHLA thanks to the Affordable Care Act, generous donations from companies like Disney, and other charitable people.
“Thank you, Dr Paul Viviano – my family and I are so grateful to have you in our city and in our lives. Thanks to those loving strangers who took time to pray for and send positive energy to our baby,” the talk show host declared.
