Zelensky ‘prepared to end Ukraine War in exchange for Nato status’ – even if Russia ‘doesn’t immediately give back land’

VOLODYMYR Zelensky has revealed he’s prepared to sign a peace deal even if Russia doesn’t immediately return the land it occupies.

The valiant Ukrainian president says that his country must join the Nato defence alliance if it were to pause fighting with Russia.

In an interview with Sky News, he stated that in order to prevent further escalation of the conflict, it is necessary to bring the territory of Ukraine that is currently under their control into the Nato fold.

“We need to do it fast. And then on the [occupied] territory of Ukraine, Ukraine can get them back in a diplomatic way.”

Zelensky emphasized the importance of Nato extending its protection over all the territories currently administered by Kyiv at the earliest opportunity, to prevent Vladimir Putin from using the peace time to plan for another attack.

The Nato invitation itself would also have to recognise Ukraine’s internationally recognised borders, Zelensky said.

But Russian tyrant Putin has previously ruled out his country agreeing to let Ukraine join Nato.

He wants Ukraine to be neutral and even said in June that Ukraine needed to drop its Nato bid for peace talks to begin.

Zelensky said in the new interview that Ukraine would later try and return any Ukrainian land Russia continues to hold in a “diplomatic way”.

It was not clear what that exactly meant or how Ukraine would get Russia to return the land.

According to reports, Putin is likely to insist on reclaiming all the territories he presently occupies, which include Crimea, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and certain parts of Kharkiv.

Zelensky also said he wanted to work with President-elect Donald Trump directly as the Republican has pledged to achieve peace quickly into his term.

Zelenksy said: “I want to work with him directly because there are different voices from people around him. And that’s why we need not to [allow] anybody around to destroy our communication.”

Trump’s ‘plan to end Ukraine war’ emerges after Zelensky holds ‘great’ call with Don – and Putin launches drone blitz

Trump has not made clear how he plans to achieve peace, but analysts believe it will likely mean Ukraine cedes territory to Russia.

The bombshell from Zelenksy marks the first time he has said Ukraine could pause fighting with Russia before getting all its land back, with the Ukrainian previously adamant he would even recapture Crimea.

But, with the election of Trump and with Russia seizing two football fields worth of land a minute in the east, Ukraine is under pressure.

Earlier this year, Zelensky presented a peace plan to the Ukrainian parliament and Western allies.

He released a five-step “victory plan” that included Ukraine joining Nato and increased military support from the alliance.

Zelensky also discussed the plan with Trump and spoke with the president-elect via phone after his landslide win.

Musk – a surprise guest in the three-way discussion – also reportedly chimed in saying he would continue to supply Starlink satellites to Ukraine.

A well-placed source said: “Nothing of what Zelensky and his aides heard from Trump and his team in private has been alarming or made us feel that Ukraine is going to be the one who pays the price.”

Zelensky’s new comments also come just days after Putin threatened to turn Kyiv to “dust” with his new Oreshnik hypersonic missiles.

Putin vowed to launch more after America gave Kyiv permission to fire long-range US ATACMS missiles and British Storm Shadow weapons at targets inside Russia.

Ukraine launched its first ATACMS missiles into Russia on November 11 and Storm Shadow rockets just two days later.

Following Trump’s election, reports emerged that Trump would freeze the conflict in place and establish a demilitarised zone down the locked front line, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Kyiv would not join Nato for 20 years, but the US would continue to arm Ukraine to the teeth to prevent Putin from invading again.

Who would police the demilitarised zone remains unclear, according to the sources, but it wouldn’t involve American troops or an international body.

Russia is making gains taking Ukrainian land in the east at a rate of two football fields a minute.

But, the meat grinder is costing Putin thousands of troops with the dictator sending 2,000 to their deaths in one day alone.

That figure from earlier this week marks Russia’s deadliest day of the war so far, beating the previous record set only days before.

Putin’s approach is miserably failing with over 738,000 Russian soldiers now dying under Vlad’s orders.

UK Defence Secretary John Healey has warned the 600-mile frontline is now at the most unstable it has been since February 2022.

Putin’s chilling threat to the West

VLADIMIR Putin has issued a chilling threat to the West against American and British rockets being used by Ukraine to attack Russia.

The tyrant’s “response” comes after the Kremlin ramped up the aggression in its invasion of Ukraine as it expelled a UK diplomat.

Moscow’s military vowed a chilling “response” to fresh Ukrainian air attacks deep inside Russia using US-supplied ATACMS missiles.

Russia’s defence ministry posted a short but chilling threat on Telegram, writing: “Retaliatory actions are being prepared.”

This followed Kyiv launching long-range rockets for the first time on 18 November, after US President Joe Biden approved their use by Volodymyr Zelensky’s troops.

Russia’s defence ministry said Ukraine had carried out fresh strikes, on 23 and 25 November, using the ATACMS rockets.

Two out of five missiles launched on Saturday damaged a Russian S-400 air defence system.

Two soldiers were wounded in the second attack which saw eight missiles launched at the Kursk-Vostochny airport, which is also a military airbase.

Russia’s defence ministry posted pictures of what it said were fragments of a ATACMS, showing large casings on the road.

The Ukrainian military also fired British Storm Shadow rockets, which are capable of dodging air defences, on 20 November.

This deadly strike was said to have killed a top-Russian military man, Lt-Gen Valery Solodchuk, and 500 North Korean troops, who were sent to help Putin’s army.

This elicited a furious reaction from Moscow who retaliated by firing intercontinental ballistic rockets into several Ukrainian cities for the first time, on Thursday.

Putin previously threatened to continue unleashing his devastating ICBMs on Ukraine and already threatened to strike the UK and US “if necessary.”

The despot said he would not hold back from using the destructive “Oreshnik” hypersonic ballistic weapon, which hit the Ukrainian city of Dnipro.

Kyiv fears Russia may already have 10 of the terrifying weapons in its arsenal with Putin vowing to mass produce dozens more.
