A child, whose identity has not been revealed, passed away on February 4 at a residence in Hooks, Texas, which is situated near the Arkansas border. Law enforcement officers were summoned to the house.

First responders performed CPR on Cleamons’ baby at the scene but were unable to revive him.

Cleamons admitted to investigators that she put her son in scalding hot water while bathing him two weeks earlier.

The mom said she did it because she was frustrated that he had a dirty diaper.

The hot water caused severe injuries to the baby boy’s skin.

He died from his burns, according to his autopsy.

Cleamons was staying with a relative when her baby died.

CHILLING PHOTOS

Eleven days after his death, Cleamons posted multiple pictures and videos of her son in a memorial montage on her Facebook account.

The post included pictures of her son as a newborn in the hospital, as well as pictures of him in a diaper and taking a bath.

She shared a video of the boy smiling and splashing in his baby bath.

“Rest in love my baby,” Cleamons wrote in the tribute on February 15.

“I love you so much and I miss you so much my heart is so broken.

“I will always think about you Rest in heaven my love.”

ARREST WARRANT OUT

Police issued a warrant for Cleamons’ arrest and charged her with injury to a child and manslaughter on Friday.

It’s unclear why the Hooks Police Department waited months to obtain arrest warrants for Cleamons.

Timeline of Jatoria Renae Cleamons’ case

Jatoria Renae Cleamons, 21, has been accused of killing her baby in the bath because he had a dirty diaper.

Below is a rough timeline of events:

On or around January 21, Cleamons is accused of subjecting her eight-month-old son to a scalding bath at her dwelling in Texarkana, Texas. Allegedly, this action was triggered by her frustration with the infant’s soiled diaper.

On February 4, authorities respond to a residence in Hooks, Texas, where they administer CPR to Cleamons’ son. Tragically, he is pronounced deceased. Subsequently, an autopsy is scheduled for the child, and Cleamons discloses details about the bath incident during questioning by investigators.

June 13 – Hooks Police Department obtains warrants for Cleamons’ arrest.

June 16 – Cleamons is still on the loose.

Cleamons still hadn’t been arrested as of Monday, cops told the Texarkana Gazette.

The suspect is still on the loose despite baseless social media posts claiming she was arrested on Saturday.

Cops have asked the public for help looking out for Cleamons.
