Tom Brady could retire at the end of the 2022 NFL season as a result of the heated dispute between himself and his wife Gisele Bundchen.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to face the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night in Dallas, but the future of their star quarterback is thought to be up in the air beyond next season.
“Brady is expected to be entering his finaly season, for real, when he plays tonight for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,” NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said on Twitter.
“From what I am told, it is the understanding of all parties involved that this be Tom Brady’s final year.”
Gisele won’t be in attendance
As the season kicks off, Gisele will not be in attendance to support her husband even though she frequently watches his games.
“It’s always a big thing when Gisele is coming to watch the game, but, as of right now, there’s none of that for Sunday’s game,” a source told People Magazine.
“It feels very different this year than last year. She was excited to be here, we saw her around.
“I’m not saying she can’t possibly come, but nothing is in place for her to be here for the first regular season game and that seems weird.
“Everyone here knows that there’s tension, but we don’t know how serious it is.
“So we’re just not talking to him about Gisele. It’s not a topic anyone wants to bring up to him.”

Brady’s retirement hint
“I think we’re all getting one day older at a time. We’re all not sure whether we’re going to be here next year or not, that’s the reality for every player, every coach, every parent,” Brady recently stated.
“You just never know. We should all take advantage of the opportunity that we have.”
