Despite some epic playmaking by the New England special teams unit and defense, the Patriots were unable to capitalize on the vast majority of offensive drives. QB Mac Jones, in particular, was not able to return the favor and capitalize the momentum of the team’s D/ST unit.
New England’s lone offensive TDs came from a 6-yard passing TD to tight end Hunter Henry and a 2-yard touchdown run by running back Rhamondre Stevenson.
The Dolphins (2-0) will host the Denver Broncos (0-2) next Sunday. The Pats (0-2), meanwhile, will visit the New York Jets (1-1) at MetLife Stadium.
