The madridismo is still trying to assimilate the stand-up of Kylian Mbappé. The French striker decided to renew with Paris Saint-Germain until 2025, after months of rumors about an idyll between the two that finally turned out to be fictitious. A disappointment for the fans that also reached Hugo Sanchez.

The former Mexican striker spoke about what happened in an exclusive interview granted to Claro Sports and MARCA Claro Mexico.

“I still struggle to know if he really said no or really said ‘I’d better go and wait’. Saying no to Real Madrid is impossible, you can’t say no to Real Madrid,” he said.

The Mexican gave a personal hypothesis about what happened.

“I think there have been extra-sporting things, it could be family or political issues. Financially, having 100 or 150 does not make that much difference, but I think that will not have influenced his decision, being at Real Madrid or PSG he was going to earn a lot of money, he is a player to be at the highest level for 10 or 12 years,” he said.

Just this week, the ‘Pentapichichi’ premiered his TV show with an interview with Karim Benzema, in which Kylian Mbappé was discussed.

“Madrid always wants to bring the best. If they bring him it is because at Madrid he thinks he is among the best. For Mbappé, I have said many times, hopefully one day he can come to Madrid. Right now he plays for Paris, I can’t talk more about it. I always say that Madrid brings the best. Let’s see the players who come“, said Benzema distrustfully, when the transfer was not yet broken.

Benzema’s reproach to Mbappé?

After learning of Mbappé’s continuity at PSG, many eyes were fixed on Benzema’s reaction on social networks. It is common knowledge that Karim Benzema and Kylian Mbappé have a good relationship, as they are both French and recently won the 2021 UEFA Nations League with the Gallic team, although it seems that this “friendship” could be resented, or at least that’s what the Real Madrid striker seemed to hint at with his posts on social networks.

On Instagram, he first showed his affection for the ‘Merengue’ team with a photo of his finger pointing to the shield, above all else. Within those stories, he shared one that drew particular attention: an image of the late rapper Tupac, betrayed in 1996 by his friends. An image that lends itself to interpretation.

The situation is complex to interpret. However, everything seems to fit, since the Instagram story, which Benzema uploaded, was exactly at the same time when it became known that Mbappé will continue with PSG and was turning his back on Real Madrid. An image that has left no one indifferent in the networks.

How did Tupac die?

Tupac died in September 1996 in Las Vegas, Nevada, after some of his friends allegedly betrayed him.

At that time, the influential rapper, considered the greatest representative of hip-hop, was involved in the rivalry between West Coast and East Coast musicians.

Precisely, it is believed that he was murdered for that reason and one of the suspects, although it could never be proved, was his friend The Notorious B.I.G., who represented the East Coast, while Tupac was from the West. Six months after Tupac’s death, The Notorious B.I.G. was shot dead in Los Angeles.
