LOS ANGELES — The Cotswolds are calling and “Rivals” is answering.
Filming for the upcoming season of Hulu’s original series, inspired by Dame Jilly Cooper’s popular book, is starting this month. Viewers can look forward to 12 new episodes that promise to deliver even more humor, passion, and unexpected turns. Hulu has given a sneak peek into the new season with a video showing the ensemble cast coming together for a read-through, displaying joyful reunions, embraces, laughter, and even a few friendly pecks as they prepare to embody their characters once again.
The returning lead actors such as David Tennant playing Lord Tony Baddingham, Alex Hassell portraying Rupert Campbell-Black, and Aidan Turner as Declan O’Hara will be back. They will be accompanied by Nafessa Williams, Bella Maclean, Katherine Parkinson, Danny Dyer, and Victoria Smurfit. Additionally, there will be new cast members joining the series, although their identities have yet to be revealed.
The show unfolds in the glitzy backdrop of 1980s British TV industry and delves into the intricate relationships where personal issues clash with professional obligations.
